Hey everyone!
Happy Wednesday!! For today's Work-It Wednesday I am playing along with the Sweet Stamp Shop Use What You Have challenge #11.
I have to tell you guys, I have been wanting to play along with this challenge since it started, but I've been hesitant. Why have I been hesitant you ask? The premise of the challenge is to use up your stash of crafty supplies that has just been sitting around. Awesome premise right? So why the hesitation? Well when I moved back to San Diego from San Francisco after my husband left me, I went from having a full ROOM for all of my crafty goodness, to renting a room in a small apartment with roommates. Now all of my crafty stuff must fit in these two bins I have under my bed. So, as you might imagine, I just don't have that much STUFF to use. The majority of my crafty goodies are all boxed up and stored for the time being. Hence, I've felt like I can't participate in this challenge. BUT this week, I decided WHAT the heck, I have SOME stuff, so I'll use it!
SO the "stash" I decided to use is my stash of embossing powders. I bought a whole set as well as big tubes of black and white, and so far I've only used the black ONCE. I figured it was time to put these babies to use. Here's my stash:
And here's what I came up with:
These gorgeous falling hearts are from the Sweet Stamp Shop Drops Background stamp set, and the sentiment is from the SSS Weird Love stamp set. Again I wrapped the card with a little bit of Totally White Trendy Twine, I just can't get enough of this stuff!!
Here is a close up of the sentiment. I LOVE this quote, my boyfriend and I find it very fitting for us, we're both a little weird, but it's out compatible weirdness that makes us work ;)
So hopefully you can tell that I used the red embossing powder for the hearts. I tried to emboss the sentiment as well but the little letters weren't coming out. But at least I cracked open a new color!
Alright sweet friends, that's all for today. I'll see you back here tomorrow for Throwback Thursday!
Big bloggy hugs <3
What a fab card - love that sentiment!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great card as always! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to our challenge and using your embossing powder. Your card is super cute! I seriously have embossing powder that is 12 years old in my stash! Maybe I should get mine out for the next challenge.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I totally love this card. Pinning it now...
